Initial Setup

This section explains the initial setup of the Mobile Collection POS (MPOS) for collectors before they start using the device for actual field collection.

1. Login Page

Overview

The Login Page is the first screen shown when opening the MPOS application.

This is where the collector enters the assigned username and password to access the Mobile Collection POS.

Purpose

The purpose of this page is to securely give the collector access to the MPOS account assigned to them.

User credentials are created in the Admin Portal and are sent to the collector through the registered email address.

Key Functions

  • Enter the assigned Username

  • Enter the assigned Password

  • Tap the Login button to access MPOS

Notes

  • Make sure the correct username and password are entered

  • Credentials are managed by the office or admin team through the Admin Portal.

  • If login details are incorrect or missing, contact your assigned office support or administrator.


2. Landing Page

Overview

The Landing Page is the first screen shown after a successful login.

This page serves as the collector’s starting point inside MPOS. It also shows important reminders or system prompts if the device setup is still incomplete.

Purpose

The purpose of this page is to guide the user to complete the required setup before starting collection.

Based on the screen shown, the system reminds the user that a POS account must first be connected before proceeding.

When to Use

Use this page:

  • immediately after logging in

  • when setting up MPOS for the first time

  • when the system shows that no active POS is connected

  • before downloading SOAs and starting collection

Notes

  • After logging in, the first setup step is to connect the correct POS account.

  • If a prompt appears saying that some information is missing, continue to the Active POS setup.


3. Available POS Accounts

Overview

The Available POS Accounts screen shows the list of POS accounts that can be connected to the device.

The user can choose from the available accounts assigned for use, such as cashier or collector POS profiles.

The Active POS menu is found under:

Setting > Active POS

Purpose

The purpose of this screen is to let the user select the correct POS account for the device.

This ensures that the collector is connected to the proper MPOS setup before starting collection activities.

Key Functions

  • View the list of available POS accounts

  • Select the correct assigned POS account

  • Start scanning, if needed, to complete the connection process

  • Confirm the POS account to be used on the device

Notes

  • Select only the POS account assigned to you or instructed by your office/admin team.

  • If you are unsure which POS account to use, confirm first with your supervisor or administrator.


4. Bluetooth Printer Setup

Overview

The Bluetooth Printer setup is found under:

Setting > Bluetooth Printer

This menu is used to connect the mobile device to a Bluetooth printer for receipt printing.

It allows the user to scan for nearby printers, select a printer, test the connection, and disconnect if needed.

Purpose

The purpose of this setup is to make sure the collector can print receipts properly while using MPOS.

A working Bluetooth printer connection is required for receipt printing during collection.

Key Functions

  • Tap Start Scan to search for available Bluetooth printers

  • View the list of detected Bluetooth devices

  • Select the correct printer from the list

  • Tap Test Print to confirm the printer is working

  • Tap Disconnect to remove the current printer connection

Notes

  • Make sure the Bluetooth printer is powered on before scanning.

  • Choose the correct printer from the list of available devices.

  • Always perform a Test Print after connecting to confirm that receipt printing is working.

  • If the wrong printer is connected, tap Disconnect and repeat the setup.


Initial Setup Flow

Below is the recommended initial setup order for collectors:

  1. Open MPOS

  2. Log in using the assigned username and password

  3. On the landing page, check if the device requires POS setup

  4. Go to Setting > Active POS

  5. Select the correct POS account from the available list

  6. Go to Setting > Bluetooth Printer

  7. Scan and connect to the assigned Bluetooth printer

  8. Perform a Test Print to confirm the printer is working


Quick Reminder

The steps in this section are for initial setup only.

Once the POS account and Bluetooth printer are already connected properly, the collector may proceed to the normal daily process of downloading SOAs, collecting payments, uploading payments, and printing reports.

1. Where do I get my login credentials? Your login credentials are created in the Admin Portal and sent to your registered email address.

2. What should I do first after logging in? After logging in, make sure the correct Active POS is connected.

3. Why do I need to select an Active POS? Because MPOS requires the correct POS account to be connected before you can proceed with collection-related functions.
