Magnetic Door Access

Magnetic Door Access with Facial Recognition is a secure entry solution for fitness, spa, wellness centers, and similar membership-based businesses. Customers enter your facility by scanning their face on an AI device connected to Clibase POS. It uses binocular liveness detection (anti-counterfeiting) to reduce risks from photos, videos, or printed images.

In simple terms: Register → Pay → Face Scan → Door Unlock (if valid).

How it works

The attached flow diagram shows the step-by-step process from registration to entry authorization.

Basic process (end-to-end)

  1. Register new customer at the Cashier (POS).

    • Create customer profile (name, mobile, etc.).

  2. Take the customer photo using the POS device.

    • Ensure clear lighting and straight-facing photo.

  3. Assign Membership (if required by your policy) + sell a package/session.

    • Example: “Monthly Membership + 10 Sessions” or “Day Pass”.

  4. Once paid, syncing happens automatically.

    • Within a few seconds after payment, the customer can proceed to the door device.

  5. Customer scans face at the Facial Recognition Device.

    • The device checks if the customer has an active/valid package/session.

Device status indicators

  • Green Check Icon = Allowed Entry Customer has an active package/session and is permitted to enter.

  • Red X Icon = Denied Entry Customer has expired/invalid package/session or is temporarily restricted.

Cashier “Temporary Access” capability (with audit trail)

Cashiers (or authorized staff) may grant temporary access to a customer when appropriate (e.g., special approvals, system grace period, customer service exceptions).

  • Every temporary grant is logged for audit purposes, supporting accountability and incident review.

  • Recommended practice: require a reason + approving manager reference (example: “Coach approval – 1-time entry”).

Key benefits:

  1. Automated access validation Entry is directly tied to paid packages/sessions—less manual checking and fewer disputes.

  2. Reduces unauthorized entry and “sharing” of access Facial recognition with liveness detection helps prevent entry via screenshots, printed photos, or borrowed credentials.

  3. Improves customer experience Faster entry with minimal friction—no need to present cards, QR codes, or manually verify at the front desk.

  4. Staff efficiency and lower operational overhead Less time spent on membership verification, especially during peak hours.

  5. Audit-ready controls Temporary access grants and access events can be tracked for internal accountability.

  6. Supports access restriction policies Useful for cases such as overdue balances, violations, or temporary bans—customers can be restricted without manual guards.

Hardware inclusion (Door Access Package)

  1. D805 5-inch AI-powered Face Recognition Device

    • ABS casing / Waterproof IP65

    • TCP/IP + WiFi + WebSocket integration with Clibase POS System

  1. Electronic Magnetic Lock Kit

    • Power supply

    • Exit switch

    • Assembly wire (3M)

Quick start checklist (Installation and Setup)

A) Physical installation

  • Mount the Face Recognition Device near the entry point (eye-level).

  • Install the Magnetic Lock securely on the door frame.

  • Install Exit Switch inside the facility for safe egress.

  • Connect power properly to the lock and device.

B) Network & connectivity

  • Connect the door access device to your network via:

    • LAN (TCP/IP) preferred for stability, or WiFi if needed

C) POS configuration (operations-ready)

  • Ensure your Clibase POS is configured to:

    • Register customers

    • Capture customer photo (with Camera)

    • Sell membership + packages/sessions

    • Sync status to the door device after payment

Operational tips (for best accuracy)

  • Take photos in good lighting, face forward, no heavy shadows.

  • Ask customers to remove masks/sunglasses during initial photo capture (where policy allows).

  • For door scanning: remind customers to face the camera steadily for 1–2 seconds.

Practical examples (how merchants use it)

Example 1: Gym (session-based)

  • Customer buys 10 sessions.

  • Each entry is allowed while sessions are valid (per your configured rules).

  • When sessions expire or run out, the device shows Red X until renewed.

Example 2: Wellness/Spa (appointment + package)

  • Customer purchases a 5-treatment package.

  • Entry is allowed only when package is active.

  • Staff can issue Temporary Access for a confirmed appointment while payment is being settled—fully logged.

Example 3: Staff-controlled facility area

  • Restrict access to “Workout Floor” or “Employees Only” doors by role/package rules (depending on your configuration).

What to tell customers (front desk script)

“Once your membership/package is paid, you can enter immediately by scanning your face at the door device. If you see a red X, please return to the cashier/front desk so we can check your account status.”
