# Split Bill

The **Split Bill** function is used when customers want to divide the total bill among multiple people. Instead of manually computing the amount per person, the system automatically calculates how much each person needs to pay based on the number of people entered.

This feature helps cashiers process group payments faster, more accurately, and with less manual computation.

### When to Use Split Bill

Use **Split Bill** when:

* A group of customers wants to divide the bill equally.
* Customers are paying separately but sharing one table order.
* The cashier needs to print a split bill receipt.
* The staff wants to avoid manual computation errors.

{% hint style="info" %}
The Split Bill function is commonly used for dine-in customers seated at the same table who want to divide the total amount among themselves.

### Common User Mistakes

#### Selecting the Wrong Table

Always check the table number before clicking **Split Bill**. Selecting the wrong table may result in splitting the wrong customer order.

#### Entering the Wrong Number of People

Make sure the number of people entered matches the customer’s request. An incorrect number will also result in an incorrect amount per person.

#### Forgetting to Print the Bill

If the customer needs a printed bill, choose **Save and Print Bill** instead of **Save** only.

#### **Closing the Window Too Early**

Clicking **Close** will dismiss the action. Make sure the split bill details are saved first if the customer wants to proceed.
